What is Christian anointing?

In this message, we see that God heals when truth and power meet. Jesus redirected a legal question into a call to compassionate action. While the priest and Levite saw the wounded man and passed by, the Samaritan moved toward him and responded with care. He bound his wounds, poured on oil and wine, carried him, stayed with him, and paid for his recovery. The wine pointed to Christ’s cleansing blood, and the oil to the work of the Holy Spirit. Bandages may cover wounds, but only the Gospel truly heals them.
