What is MTI?

The CBC Ministry Training Institute (MTI) is designed to equip individuals who feel called to ministry with the tools and training to serve the local church effectively.

This unique opportunity takes place at Community Bible Church, a leading church in one of the world’s greatest cities—San Antonio, TX. The program offers an intensive season of growth that blends classroom learning with hands-on ministry experience.

We’re looking for leaders who want to make a lasting impact on the world through the local church

Students who participate in MTI earn a ministry certificate through CBC. Classes meet once a week on Tuesday nights, creating space to grow in wisdom, knowledge, community, and leadership. Our flexible certificate program helps you balance ministry training with your existing life commitments.

LEADERSHIP FORMATION

We are not called to just "do" ministry. Rather, fruitful ministry is the overflow of a heart connected to the Father. This program seeks to help you grow in your love for Jesus as well as teach you the tools to lead others. Like Paul said, "Follow me as I follow Jesus".

MINISTRY EXPERIENCE

We commit to provide practical training to prepare students to serve in the local church. You will grow alongside of faithful pastors who are leaders in their field.

BIBLICAL FRAMEWORK

The Bible is our guide and we orient everything we do around God's word. It is reliable and trustworthy and it is foundational to what we do.

Leadership & Ministry Certificate

Whether you want to serve your church or community at the highest level or pursue full-time vocational ministry, the MTI program will help you prepare.

This four-semester (two-year) course emphasizes practical leadership application and helps you pursue excellence in your ministry calling—whether you're serving as a volunteer or in a vocational role.

Throughout the program, you’ll grow in the wisdom and practical skills needed to lead yourself with integrity and inspire others within and beyond your sphere of influence.
