How do I know if I'm saved?

Jesus’ parable of the ten virgins reveals the difference between being around Him and truly belonging to Him. All ten had lamps and the same expectation, but only five were ready when the bridegroom arrived. The difference was oil. The oil represents the presence of the Holy Spirit. It cannot be borrowed or replaced at the last moment. Familiarity with faith is not the same as belonging to Christ. When the door was shut, opportunity ended and eternity began. Our responsibility is not to know when Jesus is coming, but to be ready when He does.
